Exclusive 2008 Barrett-Jackson Shelby GT to be sold at Scottsdale.

This Ford Shelby GT convertible is No. 28 of only 100 total Barrett-Jackson Edition cars built for the 2008 model year. The limited edition pony car was a collaboration of three American automotive icons, Ford Motor Company, the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company and Shelby Automobiles. These cars are the most exclusive limited production Shelby cars built to date. In addition, this particular Barrett-Jackson Shelby GT was fitted with a Kenne Bell Supercharger, installed by Shelby Automobiles. The modification will be noted in the Shelby Registry.

Available in both coupe and convertible body styles, the 2008 Barrett-Jackson Shelby GTs were sold through Arizona Region Ford dealers. The purchase price of each car included a $250 donation to the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation

From the black 18-inch wheels to the Shelby Cobra roadster hood scoop, the car is mean. The engine was upgraded with a Ford Racing package to pump out 319 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque through a high-flow exhaust system with X-pipe crossover. The Shelby GT came standard with a five-speed manual transmission featuring a Hurst short-throw shifter; a five-speed automatic transmission is optional. The package included a Ford Racing Handling Pack with special-tuned dampers, unique sway bars and a 3.55:1 ratio rear axle assembly. Overall ride height was dropped and a front strut-tower brace added.

• Black interior with the Shelby GT serial number plate
• Special Gas Cap Insert
• Autographed photo of Carroll Shelby, Craig Jackson, Amy Boylan and Steve Davis
• Inclusion in the official Shelby Registry

The car will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block on Sunday, Jan. 18, lot 1563, in Scottsdale, AZ. All proceeds from the sale of this car will benefit the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation.
